Faber Castell 9000 Series. Argueably the world’s most famous pencil. Brought onto the market by Alexander Graf von Faber-Castell in 1905, its quality and finely graded hardnesses have made it a favourite tool for artists and draughtsmen. The spread of this pencil also contributed to dark green succeeding in becoming the company colour for the Faber-Castell brand. It is coated with environmentally compatible water-based paint, a technology which Faber-Castell was the first manufacturer to introduce. Its lead is completely glued together with the wooden shaft, making it especially resilient. Available loose and in sets from HB through to 8B.
