Caustic Pastes (Ghost Removers)

Megapaste is an locally manufactured, highly alkaline paste used to remove pigment ghosts, grime and stubborn photo-emulsion residue from silk screens. It is most commonly used to remove water-based ink ghosts. It is a caramel coloured gel that can be applied to the screen using a polypropylene brush. Megapaste is left on the screen for 20 or so minutes and then rinsed off thoroughly with water. It must never be left on the screen for more than 30 mins as it can permanently damage the polyester mesh of the screen.  It's effectiveness can be enhanced substantially with simultaneous use of Megasolve. Available in 1, 5 and 25kg buckets. 

Megapaste Ultra is a premium, highly alkaline paste used to remove pigment ghosts, grime and stubborn photoemulsion residue from silk screens. Being stronger than Megapaste, it has the added advantage of being able to remove tough solvent-based ink ghosts.  It is translucent white in colour and can be applied to the screen using a polypropylene brush.  Megapaste Ultra is left on the screen for 20 or so minutes and then rinsed off thoroughly with water.  It must never be left on the screen for more than 30 mins as it can permanently damage the polyester mesh of the screen.  It's effectiveness can be enhanced substantially with simultaneous use of Megasolve. Available in 1 and 5kg buckets.
